Planning your experience

How long should we allow?
A single experience may take 45 minutes to three hours. Two or three activities usually create a comfortable half-day of around four to five hours.
Can activities be combined?
Yes. Matembezi can sequence cycling, village walking, art, food, viewpoints, community visits and nature experiences around your available time.
Where do experiences begin?
Most begin in or near Mto wa Mbu town. Exact meeting points and any pickup arrangements are confirmed before the visit.
Do you arrange transfers?
Yes. Private transfers from Arusha, Karatu, nearby lodges or other agreed locations can be quoted.

Comfort, families and meals

Are experiences suitable for children?
Most experiences are family-friendly. Share children’s ages and heights so bikes, pace, safety and activity choices can be adjusted.
What should we wear?
Comfortable, modest clothing is suitable for most activities. Closed shoes are important for cycling, hiking, zipline and waterfall routes.
Can dietary needs be accommodated?
Yes. Vegetarian, vegan and allergy-aware meals can usually be arranged with advance notice.

Respect and booking

Is photography allowed?
Landscape and general photographs are welcome. Ask before close portraits, private homes or commissioned artwork.
How do we book?
Send your date, group size, preferred activities and pickup point through WhatsApp or the contact form. The team will reply with availability, timing and a clear quote.
